TTP legal
Terms of service and professional user agreement
Version 2026-10-14 · Effective 14 October 2026 · Please read before creating an account or buying membership.
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms govern use of the TTP website, installable web app, professional record tools, quotations, invoices, analytics, diagnostics content and membership services (“TTP”). TTP is intended for UK trade professionals aged 18 or over acting wholly or mainly for business purposes. It is not a consumer gas-safety service.
2. Professional declaration
You confirm that account details are accurate, you are authorised to act for the business entered, and you will only undertake gas work for which you are lawfully competent and, where required, properly registered. TTP does not verify competence, registration scope, identity, test results, installations or customer authority.
You remain solely responsible for inspections, tests, classifications, warnings, signatures, notices, RIDDOR decisions, statutory notifications and the accuracy and delivery of every record.
3. Accounts and security
Keep credentials confidential, use an individual account and notify support@thetradeprofessionals.com promptly of suspected misuse. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security.
4. Membership and price
Engineer membership is £6.99 per month. The displayed price is the total charged by TTP; TTP is not currently VAT registered and no VAT invoice will be issued unless that changes. Membership renews monthly until cancelled. The billing date, payment method and appointed provider will be shown before payment and confirmed by email in a form the member can save.
5. Direct Debit and payment
If Direct Debit is offered, payment information is entered with the authorised payment provider, not stored by TTP. The payer will receive advance notice of the amount and collection date and the applicable Direct Debit Guarantee. A failed, reversed or overdue payment may suspend paid features after reasonable notice.
TTP does not provide payment initiation or banking services. The appointed provider will process payments under its own regulated terms.
6. Cancellation, cooling-off and refunds
You may cancel from your account or by contacting support. Cancellation stops the next renewal and access normally continues until the end of the paid period. Where consumer cancellation rights apply despite the business-use declaration, they are not restricted: the required pre-contract information, 14-day cancellation right and express request for early digital performance will be provided as applicable. Refunds required by law will be honoured.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use TTP unlawfully, fraudulently, to impersonate another person, create misleading safety records, upload malicious material, probe security, disrupt the service, scrape data or infringe privacy or intellectual-property rights. Do not share customer data unless you have a lawful basis and have given the required privacy information.
8. Records, exports and backups
You must review every document before issue, provide copies within applicable deadlines and keep independent exports needed for legal, tax, insurance and business-continuity purposes. TTP supports record keeping but is not the sole statutory archive and does not replace your own backup duties.
9. Content and intellectual property
You retain rights in information you enter and permit TTP to host, process, reproduce and format it only to provide, secure and improve the service. TTP software, layouts and original content remain protected. Official guidance and third-party marks belong to their owners; links do not imply endorsement.
10. Availability and changes
We use reasonable care but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, security incidents, provider outages or legal changes may affect features. Material changes to price or terms will be notified before they take effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where lawful.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account for non-payment, material breach, fraud, unsafe or unlawful use, security risk or legal requirement. Where appropriate we will give notice and an export opportunity. You may close your account subject to outstanding charges and lawful retention.
12. Liability
Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of terms implied by the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 where they cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that cannot be limited.
Subject to that, TTP is professional record-management software and is not responsible for gas work, engineering decisions, customer-provided data, missed statutory deadlines, loss caused by inaccurate entries, or third-party services. To the fullest extent lawful, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business or anticipated savings. TTP’s aggregate liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees paid by you in that period. This limitation applies only to the fullest extent permitted by law and does not affect liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Privacy and data processing
The Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice and Data Processing Agreement form part of these terms. For customer and job-record data, the engineer/business normally acts as controller and TTP as processor.
14. Complaints and support
Email support@thetradeprofessionals.com. We will acknowledge complaints promptly and aim to provide a substantive response within 14 days. This does not affect legal rights.
15. General
Neither party may assign these terms without consent, except TTP may assign them with the business on notice. If a term is unenforceable, the remainder continues. Delay is not waiver. These terms and incorporated documents are the entire agreement. English law applies and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights.
