Professional safety notice
Gas-safety disclaimer
Version 2026-10-14 · TTP is a record-management tool, not an engineering authority.
Software only
TTP formats information entered by the user. It does not inspect installations, witness tests, calculate whether readings are valid, determine competence, verify registration scope, classify unsafe situations or certify that work is safe or compliant.
Engineer and registered-business responsibility
The issuing engineer and registered business remain fully responsible for current law, Gas Safe Register requirements, the Unsafe Situations Procedure, manufacturer instructions and applicable standards; correct testing and professional judgement; permissions, signatures and notices; checking every field before issue; and delivering and retaining copies within required periods.
CP12 and professional records
Generated forms are not valid merely because TTP created a PDF. The engineer must ensure each landlord gas-safety record includes every legally required item, accurately identifies the engineer and registered business, reflects checks actually performed and is supplied to the correct recipient. TTP does not warrant that a template alone satisfies every job-specific duty.
Unsafe situations and RIDDOR
The engineer must apply the current unsafe-situations procedure, obtain or record permission where appropriate, make safe when authorised, issue the required warning information and decide whether an incident is reportable under RIDDOR. A TTP checkbox or suggestion does not make that decision.
Gas Safe Register and independence
TTP is independent and is not Gas Safe Register or HSE. Registration details must be checked against the official register. TTP templates do not display the Gas Safe Register logo and nothing in the service implies approval, licence or endorsement by Gas Safe Register or HSE.
Guidance and diagnostics
Regulation updates, calculators and diagnostics material are general professional information. Verify them against current legislation, official guidance, manufacturer instructions and site conditions. Do not rely on them as a substitute for competence or testing.
Emergencies
TTP is not an emergency service. For a suspected gas escape or carbon-monoxide emergency, stop using the appliance, ventilate where safe, leave the area where necessary and follow official emergency instructions. The National Gas Emergency Service number in Great Britain is 0800 111 999.
Operator and report a problem
TTP is operated by TTP The Trade Professionals LTD, company number 17517289, registered in England and Wales, with registered office at Suite Ra01, 195–197 Wood Street, London, United Kingdom, E17 3NU.
If a generated record is wrong or a safety-related feature appears defective, stop relying on it, preserve evidence and contact support@thetradeprofessionals.com.
